Terms & Conditions
We accept Cash, Personal Checks, Master Card, Discover, American Express, and Visa as forms of payment. All returned checks are subject to a $30 fee. (Please note that if two or more checks have been returned from the same party, then we will no longer be able to accept checks from that party.)
Discounts: We offer discounts for seniors (over 60yrs), students with a valid/current ID, military personnel and veterans for acupuncture treatments or herbal consults. The discount is 15% off of total bill. At this time there are no discounts for the following: Auricular Acupuncture or Herbs. We also offer Time of Service (TOS) discounts to insured patients who wish to pay cash at the time of service.
Tardiness: We will do our best to accommodate our patients who come late to their scheduled treatment time. Note that our center has the right to forfeit a scheduled appointment if the patient is more than 15 minutes late.
Eating and Drinking: We ask that our patients refrain from eating and drinking in our waiting area.
Children: Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If you are receiving treatment, please provide additional adult supervision.
Pets: No pets are allowed at Blair County Acupuncture with the exception of seeing - eye dogs.
Herbs: We are pleased to offer herbal formulas from our in-house dispensary in granular form. The center does not accept returns on herbal formulas, including sealed packages of herbs. This policy is in keeping with industry standards and legal guidelines.
PATIENT POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Appointments: Each patient is allowed to hold three (3) appointments at a time.
24 - Hour Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel an appointment, we require 24 hours advance notice. You may leave a message on our after-hours voicemail. Missed appointments are subject to the full appointment fee. Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance are also subject to the same fees.
Confirmation Calls: Upon request, your appointments are confirmed the day before (For Monday appointments, the calls are made Saturday.) If you do not receive a call please call us to confirm your appointment.
Cell Phone Use: We try to keep the waiting area free of noise and other distractions. In consideration of our patients, cell phone use is prohibited in the clinic area.
